How are our Bespoke AI Solutions being used?

Public Health

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) tasked Trilateral with identifying websites peddling illicit drugs to enable faster takedowns and protect public health. Trilateral developed an AI-powered detection system that identifies suspicious websites up to 10x faster, significantly improving enforcement and safeguarding communities.

Human Rights

Data privacy remains a major challenge, especially when handling sensitive information related to victims of crime and abuse. Many organisations lack the capacity to manually anonymise this data before sharing it. With funding from UK Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), Trilateral developed an AI-powered anonymisation tool, allowing organisations to securely and accurately anonymise sensitive data at scale.

Child Exploitation

To help police tackle child exploitation, Trilateral partnered with a UK Police Force to co-design CESIUM, an AI-powered risk detection tool. Using predictive analytics, CESIUM identifies children at risk sooner than humanly possible, enabling earlier interventions and providing a significant capacity uplift for police forces.

Modern Slavery

Trilateral applies AI innovation to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. We collaborated with UK police, NGOs, and local authorities to build AI tools that analyse victims’ testimonies, improving interventions and resource planning. We also partnered with the UK Home Office to develop AI-driven solutions that map modern slavery risks in low-data environments, such as East Africa.

Human Security

Understanding the human aspects of conflict and crisis is critical for defence and security planners. Trilateral has worked with the UK MOD to develop an AI toolkit that analyses and visualises human security factors and trends, enabling data-driven decision-making for crisis response, civilian protection, and stability planning.

Air Quality

Trilateral Research’s STRIAD:AIR helps local authorities tackle air pollution with hyperlocal data and insights. In partnership with Meath County Council, it linked Trim’s air pollution to six asthma cases annually, costing over €150,000. By simplifying complex data, STRIAD:AIR supports smarter policy decisions and community action for better air quality and net-zero goals.
