Trilateral Research’s CEO and CTO, Kush Wadhwa, and Head of Programme, Exploitation & Violence, Dr Julia Muraszkiewicz, were in attendance to receive the SME London Business Gold Award for ‘Best Enterprising Business’ at the Park Plaza London Riverbank on Thursday 8 February 2024.

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) launched the SME London Business Awards in 2023 to highlight and recognise businesses that show ‘outstanding initiative, innovation and positive impact in enterprise’.  ‘Best Enterprising Business’ was awarded to the organisation who demonstrated innovation, risk taking, adaptability, resourcefulness and leadership.

Trilateral’s values-driven leadership has built an engine of recurring, research-driven innovation that brings the rigour of research, and applied methods to drive not only commercial products and services, but also broader thought leadership in the field of responsible and trustworthy AI and contributions to emerging standards.

Trilateral’s organisational design fosters innovation and provides space and time for new ideas to be fully explored and to be advanced on their own merit.  Their sociotechnical methodological innovation has overcome the challenges implicit in enabling multi-disciplinary working, which their diverse team brings.  The results of this intentional and adaptable approach are clear, with the market launch of the first ever commercial AI, CESIUM, developed with ethical principles at its core.

On receiving industry recognition for Trilateral’s enterprising approach, Kush Wadhwa said,

It was a great honour for Trilateral to be recognised with the Enterprising Business Award, as our whole team have worked with passion, creativity and adaptability to build an engine of innovation.  Our team works every day to tackle problems like child exploitation, human trafficking and air pollution, and to take a leadership position in bringing forward solutions through ethical and responsible AI.  It is highly motivational for our phenomenal team to see this commitment rewarded.

On the importance of Trilateral’s sociotechnical approach to how it can provide cutting edge solutions to complex global problems, Dr Julia Muraszkiewicz said,

It is all about team work and having the right multi-disciplinary team in place. We are very fortunate at Trilateral Research that we have some of the best minds, from ethics, data protection, social and technical sciences, product managers to subject matter experts. By harnessing the collective expertise of our diverse team, we are poised to not just address current challenges but to pioneer innovative solutions that shape a brighter future for society as a whole.
