Explainable AI (XAI) Service

Explainability is an essential ethical and functional requirement for any AI product

Explainable AI XAI Services

Users must be able to understand how and why an algorithm produces its output.

However, understanding which features produce an adequate, meaningful explanation is highly complex as well as dependent on the end user’s familiarity with the tool and its context of use.

We offer two solutions, which can help you:

Option 1

We will guide your design of XAI methods and implementable features to align with your organisation’s strategy, values, responsibilities, and objectives. This service identifies which XAI approach (such as feature importance, sensitivity, contrastive method, saliency maps) promotes your objectives and your users’ needs.

We will assess your front-end XAI needs and define explainability with you to reflect and communicate the context and purpose of your product.

Option 2

We will perform a detailed technical breakdown of model performance that assesses the performance, transparency, justifiability and accountability of your algorithms.

Based on requirements and needs, this assessment will (1) identify cases of insufficient explainability and transparency so that they can be addressed; (2) generate a report of quantitative metrics and indicators that will offer a transparent explanation of how the system came to its output and includes: the data sources utilised, the eventual biases and limitations of the sources; metrics of models performance; indicators of the variables’ contribution to the predictions and performances as obtained by explanatory AI techniques.

We will collaborate closely with your organisation to collect user requirements, which can feed backward into the design of suitable  XAI indicator.

Unleashing the Power of AI: Explainability and Transparency are the Keys to Promote Ethics, Trust and Inclusion in Digital Policing
Since Artificial Intelligence is inherently neither good nor bad, it can be used in improper ways—even unintentionally—causing significant harm and infringing on fundamental rights, but it also holds great promise to promote individual wellbeing and solve societal problems. The development and use of AI require ethical values to ensure that AI tools are developed and […]

The defence sector is well aware of the strategic and operational benefits of harnessing big data. Both in kinetic and non-kinetic contexts, big data can provide mission critical information that can save lives and keep people safe.   Over the past few years, the high volume of data generated by military actors, NGOS, and human security stakeholders has reached almost overwhelming levels. As […]
