The EUNOMIA project is hosting its first pilot in the form of a competition, between October 5 and October 14, 2020.
The competition will give participants a chance to differentiate between selected trustworthy and untrustworthy social media posts about blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies that will be injected in the discussions during the week of the pilot.
The pilot is open to anyone with expertise in determining the trustworthiness of social media content and/or knowledge in blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies.

The EUNOMIA project’s approach
The EUNOMIA project is addressing the challenge of disinformation on social media by developing a decentralised, intermediary-free and open-source platform to evaluate the credibility of social media posts. This platform, in the form of a social media companion, offers multiple trustworthiness indicators for users to select and display their preferred ones to support their assessment.
The project places particular importance on assisting social media users to identify the provenance of information, access online information and protect their network from misinformation. Therefore, it encourages the active and collective participation of social media users to stop the spread of misinformation.
Our Research
Trilateral Research provides its expertise on data analytics, ELSI (ethical, legal, and social impact assessment) and working with end-users in facilitating the development of the EUNOMIA platform.
We focus on enhancing the project findings by facilitating novel collaborations, amplifying EUNOMIA’s results and encouraging the uptake of the EUNOMIA platform to empower users to take active ownership and responsibility of verifying the trustworthiness of social media information.
