Emily has holds a PhD in Statistical Physics and a Masters in Complex Systems Science from the University of Warwick. Before that she graduated from the University of Manchester with a Masters in Physics.
Her research interests are based around trust and the spread of misinformation, particularly on social media, as well as the impact of these on marginalised or minoritised communities. She is especially interested in developing approaches to data that facilitate human analysts in drawing out insights from large datasets or bodies of text.
