As a Research Impact Officer on the research communications team, Melanie works as the project lead for dissemination, communication, and exploitation of EU funded projects such as TRACE and PREPARE. She also supports the commercial marketing of Trilateral’s Data Governance services. Prior to working at Trilateral, Melanie gained communications experience working with various Horizon 2020 projects while studying in Brussels.
Melanie has an interdisciplinary background in research, entrepreneurship, and communications. Her interests range from systemic inequalities, migration, attachment, health and food sovereignty. Melanie holds an MA in International Development and Migration from the University of Kent in the UK and a BSc in Psychology from Stony Brook University in New York, New York. Her graduate research examined the intersection of power, knowledge production, race, and capitalism by conducting a Decolonial critique of key events within Puerto Rico’s relationship with the United States.
