Role at Trilateral

Her recent work has focused on the regulation of emerging digital technologies within international human rights frameworks.

At Trilateral, she is currently involved in the SHERPA project, coordinating research into potential governing and regulatory options for Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, as well as research in cybersecurity and cyberwarfare.


Nicole is a US-licensed attorney with a specialisation in international and human rights law. She is a member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar, and earned her JD from Northeastern University School of Law (Boston), where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Northeastern University Law Journal.

Prior to Trilateral, Nicole worked as an associate at an international law and consulting firm in Washington, DC. During law school, Nicole interned with the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (Washington, DC), Oxfam America (Boston), the Program on Human Rights in Global Economy at Northeastern University (Boston), and the Office of Deval L. Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts (Boston). Currently, Nicole is an instructor at the French École de Guerre (Paris), where she coaches officers on researching and writing.

She holds a BA from DePaul University (Chicago) in International Studies, and an MA from The American University of Paris in Diplomacy and International Law, where she co-chaired the Working Group on Human Rights and Digital Technology. In the summer of 2019, she earned a Certificate in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University (UK).
