Panagiota supports the provision of high-quality data protection and risk management compliance services, including but not limited to the performance of data protection impact assessments, the drafting of data protection policies and agreements and the provision of DPO services in general. Her role also involves carrying out research work and writing of outreach pieces to engage with stakeholders in the public and private sector.
Before joining Trilateral Research, Panagiota worked as a data protection and privacy consultant for a number of companies operating in the Telecommunications sector.
Panagiota is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E), with a strong passion for data protection and emerging-technologies regulation.
She holds an LLM in Technology, Media & Telecommunications law from Queen Mary University of London. She wrote her dissertation on the Legal Boundaries of AI and Marketing in the Business Industry, focusing especially on the lawfulness of the application of personalized pricing techniques and the possible barriers to data protection legislation.
Panagiota also holds an LLM in Corporate and Finance Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she authored a dissertation on the arising liability issues within a group of companies.
Panagiota believes in the power of innovation and progress as an integral part of today’s world, and believes that there is a need for regulation and respect of the fundamental freedoms and rights of individuals. The balance between them is the key to success for a prosperous society. To achieve this, Panagiota offers pro bono legal advice to non-profit organisations with a mission the achievement of gender balance in the field of AI and use of AI as a tool for an unbiased, ethical and fair society.
