Shantanu helps clients maintain a high level of compliance maturity by supporting the delivery of multiple data protection requirements. As a member of the Data Protection and Cybersecurity team, his work focuses on conducting gap analyses, drafting data protection impact assessments and other relevant documents to demonstrate accountability.
Shantanu specialises in data protection compliance and brings to his practice additional experience in the areas of IP and cyber-speech laws. Shantanu is a qualified lawyer who holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Master of Laws. He is currently pursuing a CIPP/E qualification.
Before joining Trilateral Research, Shantanu has worked as a consultant supporting Irish clients with their data protection compliance. He has also worked as an Associate Legal Advisor gaining experience in both in-house practice and litigation.
Shantanu’s research practice focuses on privacy as a fundamental right and how this right can be embedded into governmental and corporate frameworks. As a part of his research conducted during the Master of Laws at Trinity College Dublin, Shantanu has worked on a comparative study of the “European General Data Protection Regulation and India’s Approaches” that focuses on the evolution of contemporary privacy laws in international markets.
