DEVELOP

The DEVELOP project will develop a personalised learning environment for career development. The environment will provide assessment of transversal social capital to highlight learning opportunities for career development. It will combine this with personalised visualisations of potential career paths to inform and guide learners towards realistic and attainable careers. Trilateral leads the data privacy and ethics work package and will conduct a comprehensive impact assessment of the DEVELOP platform, and provide recommendations to assist designers and developers of ICT to produce platforms which do not adversely impact on legal as well as social and ethical dimensions. DEVELOP is a three-year project that started in February 2016.

This report offers guidance and best practices for designers, developers and deployers of “data enhanced” technology-enhanced learning platforms, in particular with regard to privacy and data protection and taking ethics into account in the development of such platforms and tools.
